What will be the next step after discharge of chapter 7?

Richard B. Jacobson
Answered by attorney Richard B. Jacobson (Unclaimed Profile)
Bankruptcy lawyer at Richard B. Jacobson Associates, LLC
The answer depends upon the needs of the chapter 7 debtor. Is your goal to improve your credit score quickly, there are many things you can do which the most important is to pay all your new bills on time, and use any new credit very sparingly. To purse other goals you should really consult your lawyer.

How can I ensure that my fiance will not be affected by my bankruptcy?

Answered by attorney Tony E. Carballo (Unclaimed Profile)
Bankruptcy lawyer at Carballo Law Offices
You can get married anytime after you file. It will really make no difference if you get married before or after you file but if you are married at the time of filing your fiance's income will have to be included in the petition and considered in your case. The creditors cannot go after your fiance or husband for those debts before the marriage whether you file before or after getting married.
