What will happen if I am supposed to make a payment to the trustee based on non-exempt assets but I no longer have the funds to do so?

You need to speak to your attorney asap. If you don't have an attorney, you need to speak to the trustee and see what arrangement you can work out, if you miss payments and are unable to work out an arrangement, the trustee will sell the non-exempt property.

If I was awarded bankruptcy in 2014, how long before I can put a house in my name?

Richard B. Jacobson

I'm not clear on what you mean by 'awarded' bankruptcy. Assuming that you mean that you received a discharge of debts in 2014, there should be no legal obstacle to your acquiring a house now. Of course there may be facts which could affect this opinion such as if the house was illegally transferred to hinder creditors. In that case your creditors could make big troubles for you, and the action could very likely be treated as a federal crime. You need a skilled lawyer with whom you can discuss all the facts and get an opinion which takes it all in account.
