How do I rent a home after a chapter 7 bankruptcy?

I have practiced bankruptcy law for 33 years and have had thousands of clients. The number of my clients that have been homeless after bankruptcy is zero. You can expect to be turned down in applications to rent even if you make several applications. My recommendation is to persist until you find someone who is willing to rent to you.

The name of the form is at the top of each form. Most likely you are talking about Schedule F, but you need to determine what is applicable.

How many years does a bankrupcy stay on my credit report?

Generally it stays for 10 years. House loans will be hard to get for at least that time. You can apply but the loan may not be approved.
