Clearly there is a mistake on the records, you will most probably have to engage in attorney to try to sort it out.

If I have a judgement against me for credit card debt and they froze my bank account, should I settle or file bankruptcy?

Answered by attorney Daniel A. Edelman
Bankruptcy lawyer at Edelman, Combs, Latturner & Goodwin, LLC
You are entitled to a $4,000 "wildcard" exemption applicable to the bank account, which you need to file a motion with the court to claim. Whether you should settle or file bankruptcy depends on an analysis of your overall financial situation.

Should I file bankruptcy with more debt to come? How?

Answered by attorney Dorothy G. Bunce (Unclaimed Profile)
Bankruptcy lawyer at A Fresh Start
If you anticipating running up more debt through no fault of your own, such as medical debt, I would wait to file until you have maxed out this debt. But if you are running up more debt having a good time, you may be digging your own grave.
