Leah K. Barron, a founding partner of Brown & Barron, LLC, focuses her practice on representing families bereaved by abuse or neglect in nursing homes. She combines rigorous advocacy with compassionate client care to seek accountability, compensation, and closure for clients while working to improve standards of care. Leah served as an editor of the Harvard Human Rights Journal and engaged in extensive public interest work during law school, receiving honors and a fellowship for that work. She previously managed a national litigation practice as Team Leader at a major plaintiffs’ firm before co-founding Brown & Barron. Leah is a member of MAJ, AAJ, ABA, and MSBA, has edited the MAJ Trial Reporter, and participates in nursing home litigation sections at both MAJ and AAJ. A regular presenter at legal conferences, she has been named a Super Lawyer and honored by The National Trial Lawyers as a Top 40 Under 40 and Top 100 Trial Lawyer. Earlier in her career she taught in Washington, D.C., and Baltimore public schools and has served on community organization boards.
