Hired Attorney Tychanika Kimbrough

I cannot recommend Kimbrough Legal. I hired the firm in October 2024 after the District Attorney had already served my ex, specifically to enforce child support. I was clear from the beginning that this would be a contested matter and provided extensive documentation and financial records to support what was owed. My attorney appeared unprepared and without necessary court documents, and the judge reprimanded her for it. She struggled throughout the hearing and did not effectively present my case. After a hearing lasting 3 hours, the judge did not award the amount sought. Shortly thereafter, that attorney was no longer with the firm and did not appear at my settlement hearing. I paid over $15,000 in legal fees. I submitted a detailed written breakdown of my experience to the firm and was told leadership would follow up, but no one ever did. Losing a case is one thing. Paying for representation that was not delivered as expected, and receiving no accountability afterward, is another.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
