Dan Bloom served as the GAL in my divorce. He is kind on the surface but underneath very passive-aggressive, abusive and controlling. Is a feminine, gay man (no judgement) who does not value traditional masculinity, so if you're a father avoid at all costs. Dan is intelligent and knows family law but doesn’t actually care about children. Not only refused to ask, but went out of his way to prevent my very mature 15 and 13-year old boys from voicing what they wanted for parenting time, which I consider to be malpractice. Regardless, they have been traumatized from their treatment by Dan. He spent 18 months on my case to maximize his income only to provide a recommendation that was his “best guess” and not on the countless facts and data he documented. The bottom line is that he is dishonest and unethical. Dan likes to pair with Chris Brasher, who is more incompetent than malevolent, like Dan.

Very disappointed in Melody's representation in my divorce.{para}Collaborative divorce, while seemingly less emotionally difficult, seems to be a farce and Melody and her the legal "partner" managed to prolong the process, increase meetings - and therefore fees. In addition, she seemed to want to avoid conflict by cajoling me into simply paying more. At one point she said that in a collaborative process she doesn't actually represent me. Yikes.{para}Stay away from collaborative and Melody.

Mr. Bloom was part of my collaborative divorce team and while he is a very nice man, his inability to deal with conflict directly has led to on-going disputes between myself and my ex. In the opinion of other members of the team if Dan had taken these issues head on with his client these disputes would have been resolved as minor issues as opposed to long simmering disputes.

Law firm provided false expectations from initial consultation verbally committing to various successes to which none of materialized. The perception of the family is that the law firm purposely slowed the case down resulting in higher fees.
