Child Custody

Hired Attorney

We came to Regina to modify a previous court order in a case where the Mother was unstable and had failed to regularly excercise her parenting time. Regina was competent and experienced, resulting in a positive result at both our temporary and final hearing. We were thrilled with Regina's ability to secure primary custody for a Father in a Mother's state, something that is harder to come by than it should be. We were thrilled with her flat fee pricing model that allowed us to coordinate our finances and her willingness to work with us for the end result our child desperate needed. We would have spend thousands more at another attorney and likely would not have had the same outcome. We highly recommend! Thank you Regina, we appreciate you!

Hired Attorney

I hired Regina 11 years ago to help me get custody of my son after the first attorney I hired only wanted to compromise. Regina wanted me to win and looked after the best interests of my son first. 10 years later I hired her again to help me get child support from the now absent mother, and we won again. As soon as that ended I had to hire Regina a 3rd time to defend against a custody suit which I also won. She’s 3 for 3 and if I ever need an attorney again there’s no decision to be made, I’ll come talk to Regina. When she would question my ex-wife in court she was very tough and firm, wouldn’t let my ex get away with anything. That was fun to watch. I didn’t want someone in there always playing nice, I wanted someone like Regina who was nice until it was time to not be nice. The judges seem to love her and she’s been around long enough that she knows what each judge is like and what they’ll respond to. Hire Regina!

Untimely, doesn't return calls, was not thorough, difficult to contact, end results were not acceptable.

No matter how hard one might try to express the extremely poor legal service provided by Ms Edwards and her staff, it is difficult. How do you express the frustration caused by a lawyer who fails to explain strategy, options, terminology or documents? She is not capable of representing you as a human with concerns, instead it seems she signs up many clients, looking at each the day before. She seriously should not be practicing law until she understands how to represent your best interest!

She advised us to not pay alimony since ex owed us money...we went to court and lost. Ex did not file a contempt for more than 12 months in order to let the SOL run out on her obligation. Then she recommended we appeal so we would not have to pay ex's legal fees. After CHARGING $50K+ in legal fees we also were required to pay ex's legal fee of $40K. I guess she saw us coming. Alimony finally ended so maybe we can work on paying off the fees.

Ms. Edwards never provided responsive follow-up since the day she was retained. She had conflicting calendar events consistently and even mentioned at one time "She had more priority clients" to deal with. However, instead of working out the scheduling conflicts, she jeopardized our custody case by not attending a court ordered mediation that she knew about months in advance. In her absence, she sent a newly graduated associate in her place that was ill-prepared to deal with our case.
