Brianna E. Williams is an attorney and the founder of Mélange, a full-service employment law firm that focuses on the unique needs of employees. Her firm handles a wide range of employment-related matters, including negotiating employment and severance agreements, representing individuals before various employment-related agencies and courts, and providing preventative advice to employers. Brianna's practice also extends to diversity management, OFCCP compliance, and strategic visioning, and she has presented on these topics at conferences across the country. Her work has been published nationally.
Prior to entering law school, Brianna worked as a graphic designer and ran a consulting firm called Ethereal Image, which addressed the specific needs of creative professionals. She provided services such as brokering CD replication agreements, assisting clients with copyrights and licenses, negotiating record deals and management agreements, and facilitating distribution for her clients' releases.
In addition to her legal and creative pursuits, Brianna is actively involved in her community. She has served in various roles, including Director of Communications for the National Bar Association, instructor at Morehouse College's Project Identity Saturday Institute, guest lecturer in Music Business at Loyola University, and advisory board member of Rialto Center for the Arts at Georgia State University. She is also a board member of the State Bar of Georgia's Committee to Promote Inclusion in the Profession.
Brianna's legal experience includes working as a managing attorney at Mélange since 2013, serving as a hearing officer for DeKalb County Government, and working as Of Counsel at Stokes Wagner Hunt Maretz & Terrell, where she focused on representing hospitality businesses, educational institutions, and creative professionals. She has handled a wide range of litigation matters, including labor, employment, and commercial disputes. Brianna has also provided contract and preventive law services, training on diversity strategies and employee relations, and assistance with union campaigns.
Brianna's legal career began as an associate at Thomas Kennedy Sampson & Tompkins, where she defended clients in various litigation matters. She has also worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Ralph E. Tyson at the U.S. District Court in the Middle District of Louisiana and as a law clerk for Stonehenge Capital, where she conducted research on tax credit legislation.
Brianna is a graduate of Tulane University and Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert School of Law. She is admitted to practice in both Georgia and Louisiana. She has received recognition for her work, including being named one of the Nation's Best Advocates: Top 40 Under 40 by The National Bar Association and IMPACT, as well as being recognized as a Super Lawyer and a member of The National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40.
