    other victories. Secured summary judgment on a release defense for the final patent, which the Federal Circuit affirmed. Oyster Optics, LLC v. Coriant Am. Inc., 2:16-cv-01302-JRG (E.D. Tex.) (J. Gilstrap).
    Represented Palo Alto Networks-a leader in network security
    a Fortune Future 50 company-in a six patent infringement action concerning identification of applications by Palo Alto Networks' network firewall equipment. Plaintiff Implicit LLC was seeking nearly $100 million in damages, plus treble damages due to alleged willful infringement, but Implicit withdrew four of the patents,
    the parties ultimately resolved the litigation, to the client's satisfaction, prior to trial. Implicit LLC v. Palo Alto Networks, Inc., 6:17-cv-336 (E.D. Tex.) (J. Gilstrap)
    Represented largest commercial lighting company in the United States in connection with LED
    wireless networking patent district court cases
    three ITC investigations, which were resolved through voluntary dismissals or license agreements advantageous to client.
    Successfully represented consumer technology company in design patent litigation, securing the grant of a summary judgment
    dismissal of suit before claim construction.
    Representing medical transcription software company in a patent infringement suit filed against a speech software company involving five patents related to speech recognition
    transcription technology.
    Represented real estate technology company in patent infringement action litigation
    Federal Circuit appeal relating to online property searches
    obtained summary judgment of invalidity under 101, which decision was affirmed by the Federal Circuit.
    Represented consumer technology company in a patent infringement matter relating to a protector for portable electronic device
    method for manufacturing the same.
    Represented software company in obtaining a Fed. R. Civ. P. 68 Offer of Judgement against IT company
    software vendor in a breach of contract filed in federal district court.
    Represented medical device
    medical products in injunctive litigation filed in Georgia federal court. The issue was nominally based on non-compete
    non-disclosure terms triggered by the employment of a high-level scientist.
    Obtained a stay of removal for an Eritrean refugee while the 11th Circuit considers his petition for review.
    Filed an amicus curiae brief pro bono in the Fifth Circuit on behalf of the several groups
    experts in pathology
    healthcare administration in support of petitioners in Whole Woman's Health, et al. v. Hellerstedt.
    Assisted the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation
    the Atlanta VA Medical Center in advising
    drafting of wills, powers of attorney, HIPAA releases,
    other end of life planning documents for over 40 Atlanta area veterans from the Korean, Vietnam, Gulf War,
    other conflicts.
