About Mr. Max Edward Pennington

Max is originally from Burlington, North Carolina, but moved to Asheville in 2016 when he accepted a position with the Haywood County District Attorney's Office as an Assistant District Attorney. As an Assistant District Attorney, Max gained valuable courtroom experience that he plans on using to help his clients at The Van Winkle Law Firm.

Max practices in our litigation department where he assists clients in various matters. Max and his wife, Emmalyn, met in Asheville and were married in Asheville as well.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.
