I have working with this office since last year. Little to no follow-ups, my case fell under the desk as you say. I do not live in NC, so I entrusted this company to oversee my affairs. I paid and provided all contact information. This is sad as they are nice people. I am simply looking for closure.
Hired Tom Robins for custody issue. First day of trial, he was great. Second day, he sat there like a knot on a log. When the judge made the decision, I found out before he did. I approached him about it, he knew nothing about the decision. I asked him to appeal, he refused. Waste of time and money, and put my children's lives in jeopardy.
Thomas Robins did not do anything I ask of him. He actually sabotaged my case. I asked him for drug test, for a medical evaluation for mental, physical child abuse and neglect. He never prepared me for my case and never re-subpoenaed my witnesses after the case was postponed. He charged me 3,0000 and and tried to make 1,500 disappear. He never questioned the women who beat my grandchild and told the court the 4 yr old beat the 3 yr. Private investigator's report was never brought into evidence.
I would NOT recommend this lawyer.I was going against a father who was a severe alcoholic and none of the evidence I gave was used in a manner that was impressive. His communication skills were very poor in the fact he did not explain to me what to expect, never asked if I had any one to be witnesses, actually never communicated anything . He was not compassionate or passionate about his job. Sat there like a dead log never objecting to anything and seemed to have already made a deal behind door
