Law Office of Eric J. Smith is a law firm with an office in Arlington, TX. At this office location, there is 1 lawyer practicing probate, guardianship, wills and 6 other areas of law.
He indicated services that he would perform, but time lengths were not adhered to. He went weeks without returning our calls or emails. I am still waiting for a return call or a response to an email sent to him over 10 days ago. His lack of communication and overstating his abilities leaves his professionalism very questionable.
Completely unresponsive to e-mails or phone calls. Failed to file reimbursement requests with the court. Failed to communicate with other attorneys involved. Basically told me that my case for guardianship was lost after one court appearance. Late for appointments & VERY disorganized. Did not send me a court-ordered reimbursement until several weeks after a warning letter from my new attorney(who won the guardianship case for me). Worthless & a waste of time & money. I give him a ZERO!
Absolute worst experience I could have envisioned. He is knowledgeable. He absolutely did not return phone calls or emails. He did not do anything he said he would do in my particular case,18 months. He did not show up to meetings that he scheduled. He lost my original file. I had to sit in his office until he showed up in the office to speak with him, always. He was late to court. He told me two days before I our court date that " I didn't pay that much for him". Do not hire!
Beware of this lawyer. He does not communicate at all and, if you actually get to speak to him, will lie to you to get you off his back. He gave us a fictional court date, which we took off work (with no pay) to attend. He was not there and we found out from the clerk that there was nothing in the computer showing he had even filed the case. He would not return phone calls or emails. We finally got a response by leaving messages on his facebook page and blog. We fired him and got our money back
