Jessica S. Swenson focuses her practice on all aspects of family and matrimonial law, including divorce litigation, mediation and arbitration, custody and parenting time issues, alimony and child support, separation and property settlement agreements, prenuptial agreements, and domestic violence.
Jessica has been practicing law for approximately sixteen years and has extensive family court litigation experience. She is a trained mediator and a NJ Judiciary approved parenting coordinator. Prior to joining Gebhardt & Kiefer as a Partner in 2024, Jessica was a Partner and Chair of the Family Law Department at an Essex County law firm.
Jessica received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, and her B.A. degree in Criminal Justice from Rutgers University. After receiving her law degree, Jessica served as a clerk to Honorable Michael K. Diamond and Honorable George E. Sabbath in the Superior Court of New Jersey. She completed mediation training through the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education and is also designated to mediate matters assigned to the Domestic Violence Pilot Program. Jessica also completed the Basic Interdisciplinary Collaborative Family Law Training program. She is admitted to the New Jersey State Bar.
