The work Jenny did for me was a nightmare. She began working for me when I was trying to take care of my mother who recently had a serious fall. I was feeling desperate. Jenny was personable and calm, which initially was reassuring. However, she was completely incompetent, didn’t listen to my concerns and took advantage of how desperate I felt.{para}Here are only a few examples of her numerous incompetencies/deceptions:{para}I asked her to contact my mother’s landlord to give notice. She failed to do this. Instead she told me information she got from a source that she ‘couldn’t name.’ She told me several times that the landlords were not good people and that they would and could hold my mother to the lease. The information was not accurate.{para}My mother filled out the state provided health care proxy while she was in the hospital. Even though I told Jenny I hadn’t had any problems using the health care proxy, she told me I needed a new one. She also insisted I needed several other standard documents, which are easily downloaded. Later, she lied and said that I directed her to do up those documents. {para}I asked her to send a fax, which she said she did. The company couldn’t find a record of it. I asked her what date she sent the fax. She couldn’t tell me.{para}I told her that my mother’s bank required that I send the original or lawyer certified copy of the Power of Attorney. I told her this was very important. She reassured me several times that she was doing it. It took her over five weeks to mail it AND it was sent to the wrong address!{para}In a letter to me she mentioned ‘our fee agreement.’ I wrote back saying that she never went over her fees with me and that I didn’t recall signing a fee agreement. I asked her to send me a copy with my signature. She never did.
