Hired Attorney Kathleen Calcutt

Ms. Calcutt represented us in our adoption. I was very disappointed in her handling of our situation. We specifically told her that there were certain non-negotiable issues. Even up to the final moments of the signing, she ignored our wishes and tried to get us to sign documents that were in opposition to the position we had very clearly and carefully stated to her in unequivocal terms on a number of occasions.

Hired Attorney Kathleen Calcutt

I was an adoption consultant whose family used Ms. Calcutt for their adoption. I have never submitted a negative review of another adoption professional before. She took a retainer from my clints and then proceeded to do nothing. She had terrible communication with the adoptive family. Then - out of the blue - very close to the adoption being completed - she said the adoption was not legal (false) and essentially tried to tank the adoption. My family was distraught as was the attorney in another state. It turned out to be absolutely false and thank goodness the family has that child and everyone including the birth mother is doing well no thanks to Ms. Calcutt. She kept $2000 of their money. She did not have the decency to call or to refer for better legal advise. Terrible.
