Michael E. Moyer, born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, has been practicing law since 1977. He was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania that same year, later gaining admission to the U.S. Supreme Court in 1986, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in 1991, and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania in 1998. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Temple University in 1974, followed by his Juris Doctor in 1977. From 1978 to 1984, he served as a lecturer at the Allentown Police Academy. Additionally, he held a court-appointed role as Juvenile Master for Lehigh County from 1989 to 1993. Moyer was a member of the Allentown Zoning Board from 1985 to 1996 and served on the Lehigh County Board of Directors from 1983 to 2000, holding the position of president in 1997. He is affiliated with the Lehigh County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Pennsylvania Criminal Law Section.
