Peter was very helpful and knowledgeable. He helped my son from the very beginning and explained and talked with him to help explain and understand what was happening and what could have been and what did happen. He didn't look down on my son at all and was very willing to help him understand that he needs to learn and move forward from the situation.
Peter is extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. He has represented me and my family for traffic violations and provided business advice. He is an excellent Attorney and I recommend him wholeheartedly.

I can’t imagine a more incompetent legal representative then Peter Degnan. Indifferent and unprofessional. He was happy to take my retainer and promised to defend my case but did not deliver any representation in court. He remained silent. And then yelled at me and lied to cover up his failings. I certainly do not recommend this pathetic idiot.
During the entire 3 months working with this lawyer, we actually talked with him over the phone on 1 occasion. He was unable to represent me in court as I live 2.5 hours away. Each court appearance he spent time talking to his other clients but never to me. Reaching him the office is about impossible even thought I left several messages. I don't see the point in having a public defender if they can't represent you in court especially when you live in a different county 2.5 hrs away. The entire Steuben County Court system is a joke. They work against you in every way possible. I DO NOT recommend this office to anyone who truly needs any type of help with the law.
