Lydia Pizzonia, originally from Amarillo, Texas, moved to Albuquerque in 1989. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2019. Before law school, Lydia earned a BSBA in finance from Adams State University. After completing her undergraduate degree, she dedicated time to raising her three children while her husband, Justin, practiced law. Inspired by Justin’s work with injured workers, Lydia decided to pursue a legal career to make a similar impact. During law school, she clerked at the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico and worked in the UNM law clinic, focusing on Indian Law, civil rights, and consumer law. She was honored with the "Outstanding Clinical Student Award" for her contributions to a wrongful conviction case and exposing unfair trade practices in the rent-to-own industry. Since 2014, Lydia has served as CFO for Pizzonia Law, learning to practice law with both aggression and compassion. She is committed to helping clients improve their lives, following the example set by Justin since 2009.
