Ms. Allensworth graduated from University of New Mexico School of Law in 1996. Since that time, her practice has included defense of various insurers in insurance bad faith, insurance coverage, insurance defense, first and third party auto and commercial liability defense, employment law, civil rights defense, collective bargaining, family law, construction defects, and foreclosure. She has seen many of her cases through the New Mexico appellate courts and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, resulting in fourteen published opinions.Since graduating from law school, Ms. Allensworth has spent the last two decades focusing on each case as if it were her first – with tenacity, integrity and attention to detail. Having general experience in a wide variety of cases, including collective bargaining, foreclosure, family law and school law, her expertise is in the field of insurance law, with a strong focus on bad faith defense and complex coverage issues in a wide variety of contexts, including commercial general liability, automobile liability, homeowners’ liability and professional services liability insurance contracts. She has also defended insureds at every stage of litigation in a large spectrum of cases, including automobile accident cases involving personal injury, complex commercial liability cases involving wrongful death and employment discrimination, and governmental entities involving constitutional and civil rights claims. Her technical writing and analytical skills have served her clients well in numerous appeals that have worked their way through the New Mexico appellate courts and the Tenth Circuit, resulting in fourteen published opinions. Ms. Allensworth is admitted to practice in New Mexico state and federal courts as well as in the United States Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
