About Kathryn Sears

Committed to serving her community, Kathryn is a personal injury attorney eager to represent individuals who have suffered catastrophic injuries due to the negligence of others. Kathryn pursued a law degree so that she could help others and found she was able to do that by advocating for victims of negligence.

Kathryn is a graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Law, where she was the Editor in Chief for the 52nd Volume of New Mexico Law Review, President of the Women’s Law Caucus, and Secretary of the Student Chapter of New Mexico Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Kathryn published her article, Better Balance: Why the Second Judicial District in New Mexico Should Prioritize the Use of Preliminary Hearings, in the 51st Volume of the New Mexico Law Review. During her legal education, Kathryn was recognized for her community outreach, awareness of social problems, and professional dedication to equal justice for all when she was awarded the Margaret Keiper Dailey Award and the ALI/CLE Award Recognizing Excellence in Scholarship and Leadership.

Kathryn was born and raised in Albuquerque and graduated from the University of New Mexico. She then attended the University of Illinois at Chicago and received a Master’s degree in Art History. Prior to law school, Kathryn spent time working as an archivist. During her free time, Kathryn enjoys baking for her family and friends, mountain biking, and reading.
